Glocks and suppressor

I want to buy a barrel that has lands and groves and is threaded for a suppressor.

Unlike 1911s can you buy these barrels for glocks that will just drop in with no fitting? Can anyone suggest a threaded barrel maker that does not have crazy prices but is still quality.

What makes you think that threaded 1911 barrels must be fitted and won't just drop in?

Alot of the 1911 barells do say may require minor fitting. Think it's do to all the diff makes of 1911, but a glocks a glock so no variations with diff brands.

That is true, but out of the roughly 10 suppressed 1911s that I have fired, only 1 owner has said that it was troublesome getting a threaded barrel to work with his gun. Granted, I didn't ask each of them and it didn't always come up, but more than 1 owner were glad that it didn't take any additional fitting for their barrels to work.

I've had good experiences with a Storm Lake threaded barrel on my Sig 226, and I think that Lone Wolf makes good threaded barrels for most Glocks. They will just drop in like the normal barrel, no fitting should be required.

And just so you know, lands and grooves are called rifling.... and are present in most every barrel that isn't a smoothbore shotgun barrel

Again, true, but there are very few (if any) aftermarket barrels that use the same polygonal rifling.... I am getting too lazy to type out everything that I mean and it is backfiring on me

You can also by Glock OEM threaded barrels. Tornado Technologies will thread your factory barrels as well.

I got a threaded barrel from Lone Wolf and it is a perfect replacement. Unfortunately, I am running an older can (until my new one gets here) without a LID, so it is a single shot for now. Stealthier, but a nuisance on the range. The MI officers all get woody when I let them fire it.

I've got the Lone Wolf 9mm conversion threaded barrel for my Glock 22 and it runs like a top, stock recoil spring, guide rod and all with my Gemtech multimount & LID. Dropped right in.

For my HK, I had Jarvis make me a match barrel and love it. No more expensive than any other brand.

LW works well

The extended, threaded Lone Wolf barrel on my 17 works very well. The only issue is that the chamber is a little tighter than a normal Glock chamber. And that leads to some issues with reloads that are not sized down to specs. It rocks with my Gemtech as well.

Another 9mm option I have is a factory Beretta 92 barrel threaded by Yankee Hill that rocks with the Gemtech as well.

In 1911 I have a generic (no-name) 9mm barrel (also threaded by Yankee Hill) that works just fine.

The full size 9mm Glock is the 17, but that is not the biggest. They have the 34 and the 17L which have longer slides and barrels than the 17. I'd like to try a threaded barrel in the 34 sometime.

I also have a threaded Storm Lake on my 45 ACP 1911 as well and it's worked out well. I find the chamber on that one a bit tight too.

Glock factory threaded barrels. They made them for the G19, G17, and G21. I'm certain they made them for the G17 and G19 because I have them.

I suggest ADCO, TROS, or Rainier Arms for threading. Tornado Technologies is always popular, but you'll wait a longggggggg time.

Glock factory G17 threaded barrels come with the polygonal rifling. I picked up a few and have no problems with them. They definitely cost more than some other options out there though.

Glock doesn't recommend lead bullets in their barrels, so if you're handloading, a regular rifled barrel is a good idea.

I'm eagerly anticipating the arrival of my Lone Wolf black (without a wolf's head) threaded barrel. Planning on using a Huntertown Guardian 9 on it as a nightstand gun.
