Has anyone here done business with this company before? I placed an order 5 days ago and all they sent me was a confirmation email. Why is it taking so long for them to ship my stuff out? Suggestions?

I've bought from them many times. They are a reputable company. I have been waiting since March 18th for a Storm Lake Barrel for my Glock 26. It's not them it's Storm Lake. They will update you on the status of your order weekly. Also Five days ago was Thursday. Are you sure the notification wasn't the shipping notice?

What are you waiting for?

First off I want to to say I've been browsing this forum for awhile and it has to be one of the best I've seen. I googled to see if anyone has had problems with glockworld and this thread came up. It pushed me to finally sign up. I hate this to be my first post and I don't mean to offend anyone. They seem like an upstanding business. I'm just going to post my experience.

I ordered a 3.5 lb connector, ismi spring, and a stock rod assembly from glockworld on the 16th of this month. Same thing as first poster. Just confirmation email. Needless to say I've been eagerly awaiting the postman this week. Finally get an email yesterday (24th) that it was shipped and will arrive on the 30th. It may be just me but 7 business days to put 3 parts in a box and ship seems a bit long by todays standards. It may have been on backorder or out of stock. But no where throughout my checkout or confirmation was that stated.

That being said. I probably will buy from them again. But I will definitely make sure to call and check availability. .02

"Ever thought that they may have been busy with other customers orders?"

Again just my experience. I tried to keep my post lighthearted. And I'm not trying to bash them.

But to answer your question. Personally I still think that 7 days is a bit much to get to my order. I may be out of line in my beliefs there. But if they are so busy that they can't put 3 things in a box in 7 days then they need to hire more people. Believe me I work for a company that ships out hundreds of packages a day. Theres no way that would fly where I work. 7 days to get a sales order shipped. Theres no way.

And I really don't feel like going back and forth here. I merely wanted to state my experience.

Maybe you had a great experience with the company and had fast shipping. I've read many posts with experiences just like that. But in MY case (not saying all cases) it didn't happen for one reason or another. Maybe next time it will, this time it didn't.

First I have heard of them is from this post. They look like a good company with a lot of Glock parts. They don't seem to have all that is out there but a good amount. But, as kyoudan said, seven days is a long time to get around to filling an order. I might have to go there to order something just to see if that is ordinary.

Update 9-30-08.

Recieved a partial shipment of parts. Still missing my guide rod.

Problem I have now is that before I ordered I talked to a woman, I believe her name was Latisha. I asked if it was possible to have the ISMI spring installed (as they offer this service for free) on a stock guide rod (if I purchased one). She said yes. Per her instructions I noted on my order under address line 2 to please install the spring.

What did I recieve today? An ISMI spring, but no guide rod. Obviously they did not install it for me.

I was looking forward to shooting today. Now it doesn't look like I will. I can say it's not the worst experience I've had, but certainly not the best.

I guess they were busy with other customers. So busy they couldn't read the ticket properly. Well good luck to you getting your guide rod.
