I received my 30-06 Forster go,no-go gauges today from midway.
In my 1903 springfield the bolt closes on the go gauge and also closes on the no go gauge but rather firmly. I don't have the field gauge.
Question is should the bolt not even want to close at all as if something is jamed in it? or will the bolt close "firmly" being welly lubricated like mine is?
I know this might seem like a no brainer but this is my first time checking headspace on a rifle. So don't flame me too hard guys.
Do I need a new bolt? or could the receiver be worn and unrepairable?
