Rediculous.. Armed people are very hard to completely control. The goverment couldn't control their every action.:p

They will never (repeat NEVER!) put anything on Ready.gov about firearms. Why?

Let’s say you are the bureaucrat that has to OK the firearms copy on the website. You put all kinds of disclaimers and warnings about proper training and learning your local laws. You stress the importance safety and more safety and even more safety incumbent upon anyone who intends to keep a firearm for protection. You are about to put your stamp of approval on this well thought out and lawyer proof copy.

Your mind wanders.

You get a vision in you head of a $70 hair cut with porcelain veneers in a suit talking about the “Tragedy of these poor kids who were slain while just trying to take cover from the rain/wind/fallout.” The hair cut then says, “Further information provided by officials claims that the murderous homeowner learned about keeping a firearm for protection on The Government’s own disaster site, Ready.gov.” You can then see more haircuts in suits swarming your office demanding to know why you thought it was appropriate to tell people in stressful situations that is was OK to murder their fellow tragedy survivors. You see your Civil Service rear end reassigned to traveling the country inspecting livestock for Mad Cow Disease. You quickly shred the copy and reassign the person who suggested this insanity to be someone else’s problem.

Just say no to thread Necromancy
