Going to a Fun Show - Got any Seller Tips

I was debating on bring a Desert Eagle I want to sell to a gun show this weekend. I normally sell stuff on the internet as I find I can get better prices. My brother-in-law only sells his stuff at gun shows and it seems to me he ends up taking a lot of low ball offers.

I am not going to have a table - just walking around.

Only thing I have learned is to walk around with it in your hand so people can see it. It is a real PITA. Seems like signs taped on your back-pack or carrying it in a box inhibit action.

What techniques do you find work best to get a fair price or a good trade at a fun show? Any recommendations to discourage low-ballers?

At the last gun show I went to I seen a guy with a gun forsale. It cought my eye because he had a wooden dowel rod in the barrel with a sign on it. sale/trade...for x amount of dollars.....

Selling a hand gun might be harder for the public to see what you have.

I sold a handgun at the last big show. took the dowel idea up a notch and made a double sided sign on rigid board, attached it to a piece of lathe, and stuck it in my backpack. It was visible from the front and back, large lettering with plenty of white space for readability, and clear details, e.g $ or obo, # of mags.

Forgot, It really helped that I had the gun in a sep. case on its own which made it much easier to pull out for someone to see.

Set a price you'll let it go for, and when that price is hit, let it go.

More than once I've turned down a reasonable price early in the morning, thinking if I was getting offers that early, I'd get better later. No dice.
