i guess im a little more lucky here in Houston.. when i have something to sell i walk around with a neon yellow or green sign, three feet high over my head on a flexible ruler. I know a bunch of the dealers that come to these shows, and they usually stop me to read what i've got for sell. Most of them are quite friendly and joke around. I think most of them are"gun people" who just love to buy and sell guns, all looking for their personal holy grail. So if they make or lose a little money here and there, they know thats the way it goes, allready.
Yeah there are a couple of jerkstores every now and then, but that's life , isn't it?

Wyoming Gun Shows, I just don't get it!

I have read each and every post on this subject and they all show the same theme... Gunshows are stale. Gunshows are now commercial venues, gun shows are not what they used to be.... So, help me change it!! Lets get back to the way it was... It is my first load of Turkeys. It is my first attempt at producing a gun show... It is at a brand new fairground that the stale, commercial producer had no interest in... Now is your chance to support what you feel.... on 10, 11, and 12 July 2009 at the New Laramie County Fairground, 1/2 mile south of the Archer Exit (Exit 370) on I-80, Cheyenne WY. Indoor Gun Show, Seminars, Demonstrations, Sports Show, Craft Show, Horse Show, and other events all at the same place, all at the same time... Last Chance Sports Show featuring "Little Twisters" Bull Riding, Cowboy Dodge, Polaris, Suzuki, Pheasants Forever, and many others. It's an event for the entire family. Vendors invited. Open to the Public on Friday from 4 pm to 9 pm, Saturday from 9 am to 9 pm, on Sunday 9 am to 5 pm.. Food and drink available. A FRIENDLY Western atmosphere. PLEASE, HELP, IDEAS, INTERESTS, BE HERE, TELL YOUR FRIENDS. Feel free to contact me 307-220-2314. Bring your stuff. Wyoming is not so far.

Of the many stupid comments, one in particular was of an ammunition and gun parts dealer telling a 30ish looking fellow with a pregnant wife and 2 kids to get away from his table because he was too young to buy ammo. The fellow calmly replied, Sir, I'm 27years old, and if you don't want my money I'm fine with that. He pulled out his drivers license and placed it eye level at the dealer and then walked away.

Good for him. Perfect response to a jack@$$. Only thing that would make it better would have been to buy ammo at another table, go show it to the jerk, and say, "I paid extra for this just so I could come show it to you and tick you off! Hope you enjoy lugging that ammo home."
