Flawless 79 Marlin 1894c here. I bought it used in 08 for $400. That might have been a tad high then but it sure isn't now. I don't hunt so comparisons to the venerable 30-30 don't mean much to me. All I know is it sure is a fun, fast, light handling gun for the whole family.

I have been looking and waiting for a 357 lever gun but found none so I broke down and ordered a Rossi, be here any day now. Already got test ammo loaded and asap I will put it to use. May even hunt deer with it this year.

I bought this 1894c last week, unfired still with the KMart price tag on it, from a local guy for $675.

Hey now! Look at that... next week I'm bringing home an '89. Similar stock stain and finish. I paid a little more, but still below Gunbroker prices and from my local shop. How does it shoot .357 jacketed? 'cause if we wanna shoot lead, the pills need to be slightly oversize. Microgroove rifling, you know.
