I have acquired this revolver in real great shape.
H&R Inc. USA
Serial No. AE17779
Shiny finish, want to confirm if this revolver is nickel plated or stainless steel.
Also can this revolver shoot 32 cal long as well as 32 cal short

Have cleaned and fired it at the range. Very Accurate.
Not much recoil if any.

Anyone have any experience with this firearm?

Pete

The 733 is a nickel plated version of the 732. It can shoot 32 S&W short or long.

I have a blued 732 with the 2.5" barrel and round butt grip. It has been a reliable shooter but it is a bit small for me.

Thank you.

It was my deceased dad's, keeping it as a memory of him but also using it as a concealed weapon. I know it's not super powerful but it seems to work up to 7-8 yards. Ammo is not quite as available as other calibers but is available. Thank you for your reply.;)

This is the selection of ammo I've used in my 732:

Brand / Bullet Wt (gr) / Bullet Type / Velocity (ft/s) / Energy(ft-lbf)
Aguila ...........98 .............. LRN ............ 705 .............. 108
Magtech ........98 .............. LRN ............ 705............... 108
Fiocchi .........100 ............. LWC ............ 735 .............. 118
Magtech ........98 .............. LWC ............ 741 .............. 119
Magtech ........98 .............. SJHP ........... 778 .............. 132
Buffalo Bore .100 ............ HCWC ........... 900 .............. 180

The Buffalo Bore has a much more noticeable punch than the others but they are also $1.50 a round. The Magtech SJHP are about 20% hotter than the LRN options and are only $0.45 per round. The Aguila were accurate but very smokey and left the gun filthy.

I will keep that in mind with the Aguila. I was at the GS yesterday and my favorite ammo guy had four boxes of Aguila 32 S&W long. Needless to say, I bought all four. That puts my FiL and I well over 500 pieces of brass, so we should be good for reloading for a while. :)

He and I both have that same revolver, but chambered for 32 H&R magnum. His is blue and mine is silver. They are nice little guns!

Thanks for that table, JSH1! I like 32 Long a lot, and now I will keep an eye out for the Magtech SJHP load. I had thought that the Fiocchi FMJ was the hottest regular factory load out there.

I think Buffalo Bore might be a bit much for some of my 32 Long guns, like the Arminius HW-7.

Midway USA has the Magtech SJHP in stock for $24.99

I forget about another type I have shot until I was organizing my reloading bench this afternoon. That would be:

Prvi Partizan / 98 gr / LRN / 787 fps / 136 lb-ft

It shoots very dirty like the Aguila but is still accurate in my guns.

My gun likes the Magtech LWC the best
