This article on Fox News is probably the first pro-gun article that I have ever read on a major news network.

Are people finally waking up an realizing that gun control doesn't work?

Wellzdc 1775,
As a former 03ll, 0331, and 0369, I agree that this is refreashing. What we need to wait for is the bogus rebuttle that will follow and attack it with a vengance.

Thats likely - but you wouldn't see this article on any one of the left wing MSM's sites. Nobody is now pointing out that post-Obama inauguration with the gun buying surge, violent crime rates have dropped - not increased with the increase in guns out there.

Um, the author of that article is John Lott, a well known economic statistician who also dabbles in firearms crime statistics. He has published a couple of good books on the subject.

It's a step in the right direction *hits self in face with brick* I'm a Liberal congratulating Fox over something it did well! I need therapy! I've distributed links to this article all over the web.

It does point out the hypocrisy of the media. Nice article.

Finally!

BTW, Fox News has the best ratings among all the cable news networks. They ARE the mainstream media.

Much of the media's bias is about what they DON'T report such as this type of info.

CNN had a news story a while back showing how insignificant the "gun show" loop hole really is and cited statistics and figures about how less than 1% of guns used in crime are purchased this way.

Even the blind pig finds an acorn once in a while :)

John Lott is one of my heroes, along with John Stossle And Judge Napalitano, funny how they are all on Fox.

Apologies in advance about my poor guessing on spelling of their names.

The article provides some excellent information. The general public is to a great degree misinformed about gun ownership. Statistical data is a powerful tool when discussing the issue with folks that are undecided or have no opinion. Gives your opinion a lot more umph! Thanks for posting.

if i were one of the group advocating gun control an screwing the public as bad as they are, I wouldn't want us to have guns either art.
