Anyone have any recommendations? Ive been knocking around the net and found 1000 Rounds of 115 gr FMJ Fiocchi for $270. Is this any good? Its going to be range fodder for CZ 75B single action.

I've used Fiocchi FMJ in several calibers, including 9mm, without any issues. It tends to be cleaner than WWB in my experience.

I still believe for range fodder you can't beat Walmart 100 round WWB for 19.95

A lot of internert stores has cheap russian ammo Tula, Wolf, and Bears, but some ranches not allowed to use that ammo, at least mine. I'm in Illinois. I'm using WWB from Walmart, before it was $15.99 now already $22.99 for 100 value pack.

i've used blazer, fiocchi, WWB, wolf and S&B.. all have worked good, and with the exception of the wolf all have been pretty clean. I've not had a FTF or FTE with any of the lot.

Honestly, for me I would buy the Federal FMJ ammo at Walmart. The last time I looked it was $10.47 per 50 which works out to about $210 per thousand.

I've always wondered how much ammo (on average) people order when they buy online. on ammo, to make it worthwhile with he shipping charges?

The one time, I almost ordered some the shipping cost killed the initial savings.

My walmart sells it for $22. They get Federal or RWS occasionally that is $10 or less per 50 rounds. I can't beat that anywhere once I factor in shipping. Occasionally there is a free shipping deal online here and there, but the price is still in the $.20 - $.22 price range. I see some really big bulk buys online that get below $.20 per round occasionally, but I don't have any 9mm shooting buddies willing to buy that many rounds.

Ck this out. Brass and steel case. $210 and 190 shipped.

Great deals, but it is still just matching and not beating walmart prices. The steel case stuff is a good price, but if I'm getting steel cased stuff I may as well buy the even cheaper tula stuff. I hate shopping at walmart, but I'd rather buy there and have the instant gratification than pay the same price and wait for UPS.

Every quarter or so, Academy discounts Monarch 9mm (brass) to 7.99 per 50rds -- if you can get to a store and can wait.

For internet shopping, $220 per 1000rds is here...

And since you specified "bulk", note that free shippping can be had for "qualifying orders" ($500 or more depending on shipping zone).

I buy from both of the above sources and have had no issues.

Get on GunBroker and start bidding.
I bought 500 rounds of Blazer aluminum case for 89.00 a few weeks ago.
Won another bid on 500 rounds Blazer Brass and paid $101.00
Stay away from the reserved bids.
$270.00 is way too much for 9mm at this TIME.

RWS at Walmart is a very good deal if they have it in stock, one of our local walmarts had it for $13 / 50 last time I looked.

Their prices are all over the map. The walmart on the nice side of town sells it for $12...but the other side of town sells it for $10 and some change. The lady at the counter on Sundays knows me too well. I walk up and she automatically tells me how many boxes of federal and/or RWS they have, if any. I don't know what their policies are, but I've bought 500 or so at a time there which is usually all they have.

Freedom

Try Freedom Ammo if you are buying in bulk. $183 for 1000rds of 115gr FMJ --shipped ! Steve will sell in as low as 250rd quantities, but for those prices just buy 1000. I use both his 115gr and 124 gr in my CZ75b. It is clean, accurate and consistent.

Contact Steve at [email protected] , you wont be disappointed.

Palmetto State Armory was running a sale on Blazer Brass for $8.99/50. No idea if it's still going on.

I don't think you can beat the Federal FMJ ammo at Walmart for $10.47. At least I haven't been able to. The Tula is slightly cheaper, but it's steel cased, super dirty, and I just feel the brass cased Federal is worth the extra.

Everyone says that but I haven't seen that? A typical session for me is at least 200 rounds. After 200 or more rounds, my handguns are equally dirty no matter what brand I shoot.

My groups do open up a bit with Tula, I can't argue that. Could be fatigue, could be anything. I'm not testing from a ransom rest so I can't flat out say "Tula is less accurate." Likewise, I run drills and I don't go for super tight groups with Tula, WWB and the like. I can say that I get better results with the Federal and WWB, but I can't legitimately blame it on the Tula. :)

I'm not above Tula, I'll run it...but I prefer buying the Federal, too. My single biggest complaint about Tula is the fact that it makes the last round hard to load in a double stack. Those steel cases just don't slide against each other so freely.
