Good choices for a .22 handgun???

+1 to the Ruger SAS.

Lots of fun to shoot. Flexibility on ammo with either WMR or 22LR cartridges,
or 22 shorts for that matter.

To me half the therapy of shooting is the unloading/ loading procedure of the gun. The SAS fills the bill.

Since you said that a 1911 is hopefully in your future why not get the ruger 22/45 to get used to the grip angle in advance?

Try and find yourself one of these, a browning challenger III, very nice gun, I love mine.
