I hope I am allowed to do this, if not please delete this thread.

Collectors Firearms has 10 or so Saigas in 7.62x39 for $279. I am sure you can get them somewhere cheaper but for a B&M store thats as good a price as I have ever seen. They also have them in .223 for $329 and a couple of Saiga shotguns. I don't remember how much they cost. I put one of each rifle on lay-a-way today and I thought I would pass the news to anyone else who is interested in buying a couple good rifles.

From what i've seen, that's a pretty good price on the x39's. I saw them at a local gunshow last weekend for WAY more than that (some of the century/Yugos were SIX HUNDRED BUCKS !!! ) . Classicarms still has the Saigas ,i believe, for $249, but considering shipping and FFL transfer, that probably comes out about the same as your deal,so good job on the heads-up.

Congratulations...you found the first firearms ever at Collectors Firearms priced below MSRP :).

Just my .02,
LeonCarr

Agreed, but is it a good deal. Given no shipping and ffl?

noob but coveting an EBR

I have a friend who is a dealer, who will be at the next gunshow, coming up in pasadena i think, he is Leo Gil , and sells the 223 and the 762.39 for about 240-250. plus it will come with the regular mag, and 1 hicap surefire mag, i think. he also sells the 308 for about 340, IIRW. he usually has just one table, with other old milsurp and ak's on it, plus the Inter ordinance stg -2000. If you go by his table, tell him Phil sent you, and see if he will even give you a better deal. He owes me!!!

and yeah, that is hugely good price for Collector's, they usually give no quarter, both literally and figuratively.

I would love to get a .308 Saiga for $340.

ETA: If I could afford to shoot .308 I would not have had to put those other two rifles on lay-a-way.

I would like another couple in x39 and .223 though. I like their lightness and I figure anything bigger than a 10 round mag would ruin that. On the other hand I would not mind sinking some money into conversion projects too. Yet another problem in my life that can only be solved though the purchase of more guns.

he will be at both, and he said he would be getting some more of the 12's as well. but he allways has a couple of the 223, 762R, and 308's. And he is quite easy to deal with, especially if you are gonna get more than one...

Thanks for the heads up.

I'll be in Florida for the opening game of spring training (long story) during the first show, but will look him up when I go to the last one. I might even have my s**t together enough by then to convince my wife I need to stock a new caliber.
