Lets get some other good ones....sourced would be preferred !

I completely disagree with that quote. If there were no bad or good guns, why do some cost $130 and others cost $1300? Why do some break and some work flawlessly?

Woman's response to an investigator after shooting a would be rapist:
Investigator:"Why did you shoot him six times?"
Non-victim "Because when I pulled the trigger the seventh time, it went 'click!'"

"I carry a gun because it's too hard to carry a cop..."

Don't remember who's credited for originating that one. And this one's more of a slogan:

"When the difference between life and death is a matter of seconds, the police are only minutes away."

Sig, that was tongue in cheek. Although he could have said "evil" to make it so people like me don't do that.

HSO, I've seen the video, and she is very smart - but I can't exactly put that transcript on a bumper sticker.

I like the one someone else on here said in another thread. An off-duty cop at a BBQ or some similar function was asked "why do you carry your pistol here? Are you expecting trouble?"
"No, ma'am. If I was expecting trouble, I woulda brought my rifle."

The back windshield of my previous truck had: "I spend half my money on guns & ammo and the rest on useless stuff!" Not sure where the statement came from but it was a present from my wife. Think it was her spin off to some other "I spend half my money on ..." stuff she saw at the booth.

If someone does not want you to have a weapon, it is because they might give you a reason to use it.

There is a distinct and important difference between a statement that supports the right to keep and bear arms and one that has to do with use of force situations.

Regarding the latter, the cuter they are the more apt they are to fan the flames of opposition to RKBA, and the more apt they are to put the user in a bad light should something bad happen.

There's world of difference between a quote really supporting RKBA and some cute turn of phrase that fits into the "funny poster" thread. The latter rarely do our cause much good.

Go through Dr. Hupp's video and you should be able to pull out a couple of solid quotes that drive home that we're responsible people taking responsibility for our safety instead of criminals looking to prey on helpless victims. Here's one from her, "How a politician stands on the Second Amendment tells you how he or she views you as an individual... as a trustworthy and productive citizen, or as part of an unruly crowd that needs to be lorded over, controlled, supervised, and taken care of." or "I made the most stupid decision of my life when I decided, several months before the Luby’s shooting, to stop carrying a revolver in my purse in the event that I would be caught and lose my chiropractor’s license. That decision left me unarmed at the time when I most needed a gun. I’m not mad at the guy that killed 23 people that day. How can I be mad at a rabid dog? I don’t blame guns. I blame politicians that legislated away my right to carry a gun to protect myself and my family." Here's her website - http://www.suzannahupp.com/

Treating law abiding gun owners like criminals makes no more sense than treating women like prostitutes.

Having the means to commit a crime isn't the same as being a criminal, ... yet..

Ghandi....

I love quoting him to pacifists. He believed in nonviolent resistance, not allowing someone to beat you to death passively.

Among the many misdeeds of the British rule in India, history will look upon the act of depriving a whole nation of arms, as the blackest.

Nature abhors weakness.

(Not as Bumper-sticker-able....)

Far better than emasculation would be the bravery of those who use physical force. Far better than cowardice would be meeting one's death fighting.

My wife, "How many guns do you really need?"

Response, "One...after another."
