I just returned from the Bill Goodman show in Sharonville and it was a pretty good show, except that it was crowded as usual.
A dealer from N Canton was there again with a boat load of surplus arms. I almost bought a Walther P1 at the last Sharonville show, but wanted to read up on them a little first. They were $269 + tax last time, and today they had them marked down to $259.
I bought a P1 today. It's the police model with a black holster, two mags, and cleaning kit. $277.00 OTD with a credit card; no discount for cash. My slide is marked 12/79 with a four point star. The frame is marked W9.84 and has the hexagon pin between the take down lever and slide release. One mag is marked 2/63, the other 9/60.
This dealer also had a bunch of Yugo SKS's for under $100 ($94 + tax I think) and some Romanian AK's for about $300. They had other rifles too.
They had two guys manning the tables and were selling guns as fast as they could write them up. I had to wait about 10 minutes just to start the process.
This is not a big show so they only charge $6, but is almost all gun and knife related. Who said gun shows are no good any more? poppy
