Good Guy With a Gun Stops Bad Dog

Its true (include German Shepherd to that list) but it’s also true that they can be some of the sweetest, most loving dogs out there.

We had a Pitt foster that was just an absolute sweetheart to humans, kids and us, but just HATED my other (very friendly) dogs. Especially my big goofball, won’t hurt a fly, Staffordshire/Lab mix.

So we had to completely separate them, and it was annoying.

But the Pitt has a new family and apparently loves all the dogs she meets at the park. I think she was jealous of our dogs and wanted to stay with us but knew she was the outsider.

I’m not hear to tell anybody how to live their lives. I like a little Taco Bell dog or Labadootoe or a ****shu!

A Memphis LEO who worked part-time as a gun technician showed me some photos on his phone.

He had gone into a Memphis yard while on duty.
The owner had let a pit bull loose.

The officer told me that with his .45 handgun, Each of the 12 shots he fired had Hit the charging dog before the dog stopped.

One or two photos showed tiny blood drops on the officer's hands.

That's all he told me, as he had some guns to work on in the store.
Guys are always free to 'read into' these stories. Have at it............I'll be on AKfiles tonight.

True, dogs are amazing, all of them. I’m a lab guy. Though these days I don’t have any full blooded labs, just mixes.

If my dog was attacking someone, I would shoot it!
If one of our dogs was attacking someone, Id probably let them finish, and if need be shoot them afterward. Them being the "someone" that is, not the dogs. :)

If someones dog is attacking the wrong people, for the wrong reasons, its not the dog that needs shot. ;)

No, sorry, I get your meaning, and I think you meant to say, "If someone's dog is attacking the wrong people, for the right reasons, it's not the dog that needs to be shot.

IMG_0209.JPG My God I would hate to have to shoot a Dog! I know it's sometimes the only choice, a Man I knew was attacked by two Pit Bulls that he was taking care of for his Sister. No reason, they attacked him after he fed them and then let them into his fenced in yard. He came outside a short time later and they went for him, no reason. Luckily a Neighbor called the Police who were attacked in turn and shot the Dog's. The Man had several surgeries and couldn't work for a year. I had an episode walking my new Labrador Pup down a road through the woods. Two small Pit Bulls came running toward us. I picked my Pup up and drew my pistol, but they just circled me wagging their tails. They wanted to play, not bite. The owner, very embarrassed, apologized and I felt a little foolish with a drawn gun, but still............
