I have the opportunity to buy a first generation glock 22 with night sights complete with two 10 rd mags, six 15 round mags stl inserts, and two 15 round mags less ss inserts. I know the night sigts are old, but better than plastic. Out the door price tax and all $377.00. I was not looking to buy another gun. I have two 9mm handguns and two 45 acp handguns, but no 40 cal. Thinking I should, but wanted opinions on whether this is a real good deal? It looks new ( no scratches or fading finish ).

It is a second generation, I believe. The first gen were only in G17 and a few G19's. First gen has a smooth grip (slightly textured) all the way around. 2nd gen has the checkered front strap and serrations on the rear.

I have a 2nd gen model 19. It is fantastic... unless you want to mount a light on it since it doesn't have rails.

I'd say it's a great deal. Go for it!

That is a great price, you should grab it. Even without the 6 extra mags, you have a great deal there.

I wish I had gotten that good a deal on the one I bought. Oh well, that's life in the world of gun buying. (smile)

Thanks for the input. I picked it up today. Still not overly excited, but rarely get a deal this good. At least I can find 40 ammo easy in my parts. Not so easy with 9 & 45.

I made a long-shot bid on a new Glock 21, no box & only 1 13 rd mag, but got it for $440 plus shipping. It is my new favorite (Colts' are getting jealous) and I'm headed to the range in about half an hour to shake it down. I wasn't looking for a gun either, but like you, I couldn't pass it up. Enjoy!
Cheers,
Maj Dad

you can buy a conversion barrel and make it a 357 sig and another barrel to make it 9mm (though with 9mm you will need g17 mags) with all those mags included you made a steal. buy that gun new now and you're looking at a $700+ package.

i've got a 22c and you'll love putting rounds through the gun. these guns shoot 40's as if they think they were 45's. Powerful round, great gun!

The early G-22's had weak casehead support. I would be cautious about reloading it's brass. If you only shoot factory ammo, no problems.
