Quick question ......... What would be a fair price on a Glock 1st gen model 22 in very good to excellent condition?

Please note this Glock is a 2nd generation firearm, however this is the first version of their model 22.

My town's gun shop just got it in on trade.

Thanks .........

Ok so you understand in Glockspeak its a 2nd gen G22. There were no 1st gen 40 caliber guns.

Second they are a dime a dozen even in 2nd gen, so many LEO's had them.

If it were me I would never pay over $400 OTD for one and would much prefer to be OTD at $300. That would depend on overall condition, mags, box, etc.

What do used Glocks go for in your neck of the woods? What do new glocks go for?

Thanks for the info.

This model 22 is not a leo trade-in, and is in overall very good to excellent condition.

Thanks .........

Whether or not its a LEO trade-in isn't that much of an issue on value. Most of the LEO trade ins are in very good shape and you'd otherwise never even know that they were trade-ins except that the seller has noted it.

Given that, the availability of those guns on the market in quantity serves to set the price overall.

$350 would be fair. Absolutely no more than $400.

The 350-400 range sounds about right. There was a fellow in Ga. selling Nuke plant security trade-ins for about that, and they were in very good mechanical condition. Some of the 17's were a little ragged, tho. The 23 is a good pistol.
