In closer ranges, heavy cover, varying light conditions or difficult hilly terrain, I throw my two cents behind a see through mount if possible. In the rough mountains (I only stalk and walk cause I love being outdoors anyway) it's more likely you may bash your scope on a rock. No I'm not clumsy, it just happens climbing around every once in awhile :banghead: . It's nice having a quick back up sighting systems so you dont have to reshoot for zero or whatever.....
