It allows us to climb out of a rut and have some real fun working up new loads. Catpop
THAT'S like saying a torrential FLOOD's a good thing, because it enables us to work on our ROWING technique! No thanx!
I picked up a few pounds of Bullseye at the Columbus, Ohio Cabela's a few weeks ago. Forget what I paid but I don't recall it being out of line. Gave my brother one of my two pounds last week. Anyway, I have recently seen Bullseye around. Little by little.I found bullseye today. I was really surprised. Grabbed a pound. Bullseye and unique are my standbys.
I can tell you... I like my rut and I don't want to climb anywhere. Never did I think this shortage would last this long. I'm guessing it will let up in late 2016. I don't think the 2008 shortage really ended or if it did it came right back in 2010. It's been a good 4 years now with no powder, no primers, no ammo and few bullets. At least some of the ammo and primers are back the past month or so.It allows us to climb out of a rut and have some real fun working up new loads. Catpop

You need to find a reloading ally. I'm retired and I do have the time to look around locally but i have several shooting/reloading buddies who are still working. I have a list of their powder and primers needs and if I see any of it i pick it up for them. I have even loaned a few buddies a pound or two of powder until they can buy more. It's not any fun for a younger reloader like myself I work all day and have younger kids at home and I can't make it to the lgs everyday I'm lucky if I can make it once a month even then I'm lucky if I even make it then
What I'm trying to say is that people that have the means to make it to the lgs everyday to check and see what new shipment made it in that day have a lot better chance of finding pistol powder. I agree that it can be fun to try new powders and work them up. But for me I have a better chance of winning the power ball then to find a lb of pistol powder . So for me the powder shortage really sucks . Because I can remember 3-4 years ago I could just walk into any gun shop and buy any powder I wanted and that was fun
Think so? So close to the next presidential election? If it's not better by Spring 2016 it won't be better going into 2017. Just my thoughts.I can tell you...
