Blue skies and country roads, Friend. See you when I get there.

I am very sorry to learn of Byron's passing. I never met him, but like many of you here, he became one of a cadre of folks that I admire and call friends. John, your words are touching and though we all lost a presence, your loss is particular and I extend to you my condolences as well as to the rest of Byron's personal buddies.

Byron was one of my best friends. I met him in 1974. He introduced me to TFL and THR and the great community here. He will truly be missed.

Great job, John.

Sadly,

Doug

Byron was a fine man. I never met him, but we exchanged PMs About our infirmities, shooting, and life in general.

There is no pain in heaven, no infirmities, nothing to worry about.

Enjoy it brother, you deserve it.

Doug, Byron's relationship with you and Yvonne brought him a lot of joy over the years.

Just getting back to the keyboard after being gone all day yesterday. John, thank you so much for that wonderful farewell. I am saddened to hear this news.

Great eulogy, John.

Sad to know Byron won't be around any more. Well met, Byron. Safe journeys.

I am pleased to have called Byron a friend. I shared some very good times with him, and wish I could do so again.

In a world of drab personalities with painted-on sparkle, his light burned brighter, and often hotter.

One of Byron's favorite sayings was "Moderation is for monks." If he did something, he did it in a big way.

Here is a picture of Byron with me and Art (among others- Johnny Guest is hidden behind a hat) in early 08. Byron always wore safety glasses to protect his remaining good eye in the last few years of his life.

Also a picture of Byron, me, and Art from 2004.

The picture with Kaylee and Tamara is also from 2004. KnivesUp.jpg

My condolences to his friends.

I'm sorry I never met him. I respected him here and always enjoyed reading his postings.

Condolences to the Quick Family.

ETA: I've been informed that Byron had no immediate family, that his passing is solely the loss of the gun community. :(
