I thought it was a little doe, but turned out to be a little button buck instead. Oh well.... I wanted some venison , so now I can relax and be choosy. I'm just hoping the neighbors aren't that observant. Most won't be home till after dark anyway thank goodness.

Nice deer. He'd be big for this part of the country.

Just curious--does Ohio prohibit rifles for deer hunting?

Yes...don't even get me started on that lol. I would of loved to of used my Marlin today. This little guy was hanging with a MONSTER earlier in the morning. Unfortunately, the monster was a lot smarter...but I'll be bock.

Looks good. What knife did you use? :D
I'm still trying for one here. Haven't even had time to go out this week so far. Might just have to stick with the bow I guess. Sitting here watching a nice big doe out the window, but she didn't show up until dusk.

Congrats on the deer
Went out Monday & Tuesday with the wind blowing 20 - 30 miles an hour
i took the wrong days off , seen nothing

That wind was bad news. I went out Monday and had planned to go out Tuesday, but went to work instead, because of the wind. Gotta love this Midwest weather...18 deg. last Thursday and nearly 70 deg. + T Storms on Monday and Tuesday. Today was just about perfect.

What knife did you use?
Funny you should ask...I took a Bencmade Griptilian along that I had never used...wow...like butta.

Benchmades are great knives. They're about the only factory knives I own or carry anymore. I keep thinking about a griptilian, but its hard to justify anymore (not that that ever mattered  )

I don't know where you got 18 degrees from last thursday though. It was about 15 degrees when I went out with my bow :cuss: Friday morning was the worst though, about 9 degrees out when I left for work. My hand froze to a gate when I was feeding the horses.
The wind has been nasty. The doe that wandered by today was the first deer I had seen out in 2 or 3 days.
