This one a model 29-2.
Again minty again the price is $800

Should I?

That would be entirely up to you. I happen to very much like and enjoy the older Colt and S&W classic revolvers so would I buy it? Yes, I would in a heartbeat. Should you buy it? Depends on if you want two Model 29 revolvers.

To me the 29-2 represents the high water mark in S&W revolver production. Guns manufactured by S&W during that time frame were assembled by craftsmen who took great pride in their work. Over the years, the work force has changed and methods and materials used in production have changed. Given the choice of a nice vintage S&W or a new one, I would choose the older model. However, either gun would probably work just fine. Here is my 29-2.

I would. IMO, the -2 is the much better gun than the other one. Any idea serial #? They made the 29-2 from '62 until '81 when they unpinned the barrel. If it's a 60's one, run don't walk to buy it!

Everyone should have 2 29's One for each hand . If I had the money. I get a 2nd one for sure. Mine is a 29-3 Love it. Use 44 spl for home SD load
