Good Lord. Incredible. This is what they need to show on TV once in a while. It puts everything into perspective. I wonder if there is a cable station that would be willing to air that video for free? Anyone here know someone that works for a network?

Just awesome and VERY moving.

That's why I am a member of the American Legion Riders & Patriot Guard.
I did a lot of traveling last week, spent a lot of time in airports.
Every time I saw someone in uniform I made it a point to walk up to them, shake their hand and say "Thank you for what you do".
Some reacted with surprise, some appeared to have been getting a lot of that lately.

Damn . . . . :(
I thank them every chance I get. We ran into some young Devil Dogs on leave from the sand pit at the lake last year and we took them out on our boat and made sure they all had a good (safe) time. I didn't even get mad when one of them was hitting on my 16 yo daughter. :scrutiny:

Home?

Let them do their job.

Let them win.

Then bring them home.

Bring them home with Honor.

More importantly, bring them home with the knowledge that their mission has been accomplished -- for real.

Leave them there!

It's easier to keep Arabs from stealing our oil if we have military bases in their countries.

;)

Thanks David, it was also awesome.

Why can't the networks air these?????? Lord knows they need all our support. This would be perfect to air on cable to remind everyone that we need to support our troops.

Thanks TonyStarks and coylh for inserting your politically motivated commentary into a thread praising our troops. Your self-centeredness is refreshing. :fire:

coylh, how bout just leaving them the **** alone!!! If you don't have any more respect than that for the job we do for you, than perhaps you should find a new country to call home.:fire::cuss: We work damn hard day in and day out to insure that you never have to bow before a tyrants feet. We do the job that no one else can do or will do. We put ourselves in harm's way every ****in' day so that you never have to. To post your smartass comments in a thread that was meant to praise your soldier's for the job they do is rude, obnoxious and down right unpatriotic. You don't realize how lucky you are to have the right to say crap like that!!!:fire::cuss: Attitudes like yours make me sick. What the hell is my country coming to?:fire::fire::fire:

We all understand where you are coming from but, you said to much, we all have different views. Patriotism is not the point here.

Great video by the way and we all support your service.

Thank you!

I don't think so, helpless. Every day this country is sperating itself from its soldiers a little more. When this war first started, you couldn't find a negative comment about us, or even many smart ass comments like coylh's. But, it seems to be becomming more and more common. To clear things up, I don't feel like any of you owe me a damn thing. I do, however, believe that you owe everything to my brothers and sisters who have died for your freedom's. All gave some. Some gave all. All I ask is for a little respect for those who gave all, guys. Is that too much to ask?

dying for our freedom is an admirable thing. but dying to put gas prices up over 3 bucks a gallon is a disgraceful misappropriation of invaluable lives and valuable resources.

Heartfelt video.

I can't help but wonder what that solider was thinking while he had that bird
sitting in his had.

you may oppose the reason why our troops went into these hellholes, but please don't take it out on the guys who are there - they were ordered to go, for better or for worse.

Thanks.

Thanks guy's. You have no idea how much it helps when someone comes up to any of us and just say's "thanks" I tried to watch the video but I'm at work and bawling like a baby wouldn't look good in front of my subordinates.

Lighten up marksman13. It's a volunteer army, remember? It's not a "I'll volunteer but you have to kiss the ground I walk on" army.

I think this video is more of a tear-jerker than the propaganda powerpoint that started this thread.

colh, who said anything about kissing the ground we walk on? All I'm saying is that the men and women who have died in your place deserve a little bit of respect. You're damn right we volunteered. We raised our hands and said "Send me. I'll go." You don't have to give a damn about me, or the life I left behind. To be quite honest, I could give a damn how you view me. I refuse to "lighten up". This is a serious issue. To belittle the men and women who have died for your right to sit behind your keyboard and make light of their sacrifices is unacceptable. The statistics you hear on the news, those are someone's brother, someone's father, someone's wife, and someone's son. How the hell can you make light of that? How can you in good conscience make a joke about the lives that have been given so that you can live the life you enjoy? Hell yes, I take it personal. IT IS PERSONAL!!! These are our LIVES you are making jokes about.

Chopz, how in the world can you fathom that this war is about oil? There are much easier ways to go about getting oil. There are much more oil rich countries than Iraq. Iraq is a drop in the bucket compared to Iran or Saudi Arabia. Your comment was immature and uninformed.

I support the people's right to express their views. Being anti-war does not make one unamerican.

I like to think we're all friends.
