Got back at my wife yesterday

Although my wife of 47 years probably has 20 pairs of shoes and boots, she wears each pair on different days/occasions/with different outfits/for different purposes. But when it comes to shopping for things she doesn’t need, she’s more likely to shop for purses (particularly, concealed carry purses) than shoes or boots. Oh she uses her concealed carry purses alright, she just doesn't need any more of them. She already has about six (that I know of) and that’s not counting the two she recently gave away to a friend who just got into concealed carry. Nevertheless, my lovely wife is always looking for a “perfect” concealed carry purse, one that will go with most of her outfits, is the right size, has the right strap(s) and/or zippers, and so on, and so forth.

On the other hand, I like good knives, and can always dream up a reason why I need another one. Lately, at least for the last couple of years, I’ve been looking for the “perfect” EDC/Bushcraft knife for carrying and using while working outside. So far, I probably have about 6 EDC/Bushcraft knives stashed here and there around the house. But the only knife I carry and use on a daily basis is an old Wenger Boy Scout style knife I have in a homemade pouch on my belt.

Who cares? My wife has her fancies, I have mine. We don’t go without the necessities, never have, and our kids didn’t either. And as far as what my wife spends on her fancies and what I spend on mine, we have a joint checking account, joint savings accounts, a joint credit card, both of our names are on our motor vehicle titles as well as the title to this house, and the only reason some of our guns are registered in her name, and some of them are registered in mine is because the law doesn’t allow joint registration of firearms. But whichever one of us goes first, the other will inherit all of his/her guns without having to do any “transfers” I betya.;)
