I am a happy boy. The R & S was actually my first BP pistol about 20 years ago but being young and dumb I let it go. Been huntin another for years but as y'all all know they are right proud. This one may be unfired. She don't even have a line on the cylinder (yet) I haven't detail stripped it yet( cain't remember how:banghead:)

Whats good about this gun?

I have one myself and i havnt found anything i like about it yet.

It does feel pretty heavy duty but its a PITA to clean. I hate how it comes apart.

Whats the trick to it?

Welcome to the club! I love my R&S.

It's slowly becoming one of favorite cap and ball pistols and I've always been a big open top Colt guy.

Bower, I'll take it off your hands if want. Personally I love the gun, I have both a Euroarms and an original. If you're interested, send me a pm.

Thanks all y'all. Bower the R & S is kinda like the ROA. Most folk either love em or wouldn't give ya a nickel for either one.
I ain't gonna step on sltm1 but iffin he don't want yours y'all can send me a PM too.

Yes, they are highly sought after at Friendship. They are held in high regard in
the "As Issue" matches. Very accurate and the grip is just fantastic! If I was 10
years younger I would have already had it since I only live about 25 miles from
him. You boys had better jump!

If i got rid of it you would of been the first you asked about it first.

Maybe i need to dig it out and give it a try again.

Whats good about this gun?

*Short lock time
*Virtually immune to cap jams
*More resistant to powder fouling than Remingtons due to the cylinder bushing
*Strong loading lever design
*Very accurate

Mine Euroarms London Gray R&S is my favorite percussion revolver.

Yep the R & S is currently not in production. Pedersoli bought all the Euroarms stuff but I don't believe they have restarted manufacture of this model. Heck they are already $495.00 I shudder to think what Pedersoli will charge.
