Got me an odd-duck. Kimel Kamper 20 Ga.

After my initial WTH! reaction. This thing began to immediately grow on me. 20 Ga, one in the stock, 18.5 inch barrel, nice heft and very well made in Westfield, Mass.

I was figurin' to sell it but it might become a "keeper".

I've a sense it might be just what the name (sorta) implies. A camping bang-stick. Make a fella feel safe against snakes and other slithery what-nots that go bump in the night.

It holds remarkably well to the hip and carries nicely one handed at the receiver. I'm a bit surprised that it has no sling attachment.

I see in looking about that they came in at least two configurations with the other looking like something a biker or gang-banger might cobb-up and at least 12, 20 and .410 chambers.

I'm liking it as a well made one shot "snake-charmer" sorta thing. Loads fast, big hammer and doggone solid.

You know - it says that then they put a butt plate on it.

The bear is, if you test drive it up there you can easily see a trip to the ER due to that monster hammer.

Is it considered a shot gun or an other weapon? Since its clearly not designed to be fired from the shoulder, I'd guess it would be legally defined as an other weapon.

Shotgun.

I believe they are 27.5" long with an 18.5" bbl.

Yup, that nails it by an extra 3/8 inch or so. Gonna be my verinator now with a bit of sling action.

That company made two other versions if i remember correctly The "Brute" a side by side 12 guage and The "SOB" (Son Of Brute) a single shot exactly like the Kimel Kamper but in 12 guage.
Time to start collecting!
