Maybe a Bersa .380
Makarov

OK Bill, it sounds like you want feedback on what to get. So here goes in the order to spend that tax refund:

-Bersa .380 Thunder (you'll love it)
-an Albanian and Romanian SKS (ammo is cheap and they're fun to shoot)
-a Colt lightweight Combat Commander (there's nothing like a 1911)

and

if any money left, gets lots of ammo! ;)

Bill, I know exactly how you feel. Earlier this month, I bought a Colt Python with my tax return. If you don't own a battle rifle, go with the AK/SKS. Else, get a 1911. You can never have too many 1911's. Good luck!

Got my tax refund back in less than two weeks of filing. Had plans for a new gun but when I got the check, 1/4 of it, the top, right hand corner, was torn off and missing. They say 30 to 45 days to replace it. Guess I get more time to decide what I want to buy.

Last gunshop I went to had one the dual tone. Too light for my taste. Are the black frames made of steel?

Thanks guys. I've been busy over the last few days do I couldn't respone. In a couple of weeks I'll go to a gunshop and take a look around.

I'll go out on a limb and say that the black frames are a lightweight alloy. I went to the Bersa/Eagle website and they showed the different color combinations (matte, duotone, satin nickel, gold, etc.) but it only indicates one overall weight (23 oz.).

get an AR-15. I received a 3325 refund. My wife is using it to buy carpet.

p.s. I had a bunch of money hidden away and I used it to buy a Colt D.S. II, a 30-30, a 30-06, and a new AR upper. ssshhhh. Be vewy, vewy quiet.

bwahhahahahaha

A guy at work who is going to get laid off is wanting to sell his XD-9 w/ 5" barrel for $450. I will swear that the last I was in gunshop, a NIB was retailing for this much.
Geeze wheez I thought the whole point of buying a USED gun was to save money over buying a new one.

Is an XD-9 a good gun? $450 is more money then I want to spend.
