Ok I'm waiting for my tax refund and I have some money coming from elsewhere, so I'm coming down with "gun fever". Any cure for this other then being broke?

Some ideas what I want:

Handguns:

1911
XD-9 or Glock 17
Makarov
Bersa .380

Rifles:

AR-15
AK-47
Maybe a M1 Carbine
Henry US Survival Rifle(AR-7)

Anything else you guys can think of.

Unfortunately, going bankrupt is the only way out of gun fever. It's a terrible affliction from which there is no escape. I'm sorry to be the one to have to tell you that...

SO... are you looking for ideas on how to complete a collection? Seems like you have a decent list going for sure (must be some tax return!).

Other pieces to consider:

Handguns:

A full-size .357 six shot (GP100, S&W 60, etc.)
Browning Hi-Power
.22 auto

Rifles:

You definitely need a M1 Garand on that list!
Maybe a Savage 110 or some accurate bolt gun for paper punching
Mosin Nagant
A Mauser
Enfield
Winchester Ranger .357

Shotgun:

Mossberg 500, Remington 870 or some other solid 12 ga pump.

Just some thoughts.

Well I already have a S&W Model 10 and Model 22A.
I forgot to include a Hi-Power in the list. I also do not have a need for a shotgun, but that being said.

Maybe I'll pick up a Hi-Point as well.

-Bill

Please avoid the Hi-points! Shy of their 9mm carbine, the money is definitely better spent elsewhere.

I also forgot to add the SKS to the suggestion list. They are cheap to buy and cheap to feed.

You could also look at Makarovs and CZ-52s.

One placebo for this (so far untreatable) febrile state - is to up the ''fondle factor'' Even if the gun count is way below expectations - some fondle time does pay dividends.

It is if you like - firearms TLC ... shows the buggers you still care - and the warm/fuzzy feedback enhances one's affection center - usually bringing down the fever a shade or two. Plus the (vain I know) hope, that the buggers might breed :p

Hardest part of this wicked condition is - sleeping. Whilst trying to get the much needed shuteye - images creep into the frame - pics of short and long barrelled deliciousness - of all the cals you can imagine. Control of this is almost impossible to manage - tho taking one or two existing possessions to bed with you (keep em warm and happy) will possibly ease the stress.

Well I do sleep with my Model 10 under my pillow. And fondle both guns while I surf the net...

Haha, holy cow P95! I thought I was the only one who sometimes had trouble sleeping due to sugar plums and Saigas dancing in my head! Nice to know someone else shares that symptom.

I agree that the 'fondling' is a very helpful tool to resist going to the poor box.

In answer to your question, I like my 9mm Hi-point carbine a lot. It is accurate, very reliable, and purely hideous. But I still love it. Kind of a black sheep thing. I have actually not heard many negative reports about them. The pistols on the other hand...

Enjoy trying to make your 'buy list'. And remember that Tylenol PM works wonders when you can't get your mind to focus on sleeping!

Well guys for now I'll stick to handguns due to the nearist range to me being handgun only, and the fact I don't have a car...

That said there ARE some rifles I want...

The CZ52 also looks good. I guess U'm going to have to work some overtime...
