Sorry to disappoint you all
Well , I went back to the local gun store and handled the Outlaw again. To my disappointment and surprise; it seemed to lack the quality that I had imagined from the website pics. I did some extra research and found that there are some historical quality control issues with this Uberti Outlaw revolver.
Also, it was a very tight action. Therefore, I changed my mind and got Ruger Blackhawk in .357 with rosewood grips. It has many more ammo options (including a 9MM cylinder). I have struggled to find any .45 Colt ammo; especially Cowboy Action loads. Whereas, .357 and 38 Special ammo seem more available and much cheaper. I can also shoot any ammo without having to go to Cowboy Action loads.
So, I changed my order and am getting the Blackhawk in 4 5/8 inch barrel. It also cost almost $20.00 less that the Outlaw. It is just another example of the importance of taking a physical look before purchasing it. I would have been very frustrated to get the Outlaw sight unscene, and then be stuck with it; or have problems with a weak hand spring.
