Finally got my press and now I have a question. The load data that came with the dies doesn't state how far to seat the bullets. Do I just seat it till the round is at max length or what?

Also it doesn't give the specs if your using a 100GR. cast bullet and W-231 powder.

Any help?

Go to Winchesters website and see what they list for W231. Also, your load data will list a C.O.L. for each bullet load it lists. If it doesn't then you need to search around and get the correct length. Too deep and pressure will be an issue, and too long the round may not chamber and pressure can increase if the bullet is on the lands.

I suggest getting Lyman's 48th reloading manual and read the section on reloading. It has a wealth of knowledge in it even if your not new to reloading.

I'll second Lyman's 48th - great book very informative.

The cartridge overall length C.O.L. tells you how long the bullet should be. The very first cartridge that I loaded I just seated that bullet until it went all the way in! Go slow, measure and remeasure.
