Met an awesome guy at the range today and he let me shoot his Blaser R93 Tactical on the 225 yard range. One of these days one of those will be mine! Beautiful rifle, amazingly smooth action, dead nuts accurate and I love that straight pull bolt. Does anybody have any info or pictures of these rifles. I'd love to find out more about them.

They are great rifles. I guess you could call me a Blaser R93 fan. Here is a picture of my collection.

Shudder! As a college student I can relate to the instant noodles! That's an impressive collection you got there M16!

By Jove you're right! Ian said he'd met him on a previous trip to JP. He's got to be one of the friendliest people I've ever met. Lol, wouldn't let us outta there without shooting the Blaser. :)

I looked into the Blasers, and I could forgive the high purchase price if it performed all the bolt action rifle duties I have. The problem is I need a longer target/varmint barrel than Blaser offers. Does anyone make custom Blaser barrels?

Blasers come in 26" barrels don't they? You need longer than 26"???

That's a nice (wipe the drool off my mouth) collection you've got there M16!

You should change your name on THR to R93...

I have a LRS2 in 300 Win Mag. Saw it at the Charlette NRA show and just had to have one. I didn't make a mistake buying it. With Federal 190 grain Match I posted a 2.25" 5 shot group at 700 yards. The gun is dead on accurate out of the box. With the 300 Wim Mag I did go with the muzzle brake and that makes it much more comfortable to shoot. Although it's does make shooters near me a little peaved with the muzzle blast. :neener:

Chris - Yup, the same guy. And this time, he also twisted our arms into shooting his .340 Weatherby Mag as well. :D

Anyone got a link for R93 .308 magazines for less than $100? I'd sorta like to have a spare. Accessories are expensive.

speaking of Jasper-pulaski, I was informed by the RO there, that the 225 lanes were actually just 200 yds from bench to target.

he said they were supposed to change the sign, but .........

not to hijack, but I got to shoot my first 50 cal rifle last year at JP. happened to have my dig camera with me and a guy shooting his Serbu wanted a pic of himself shooting it.

got a pic of my nephew and I shootingit. :D
