Gouge in SKS barrel

1958 Romanian SKS has a gouge in the barrel about 7" from the muzzle! it is chrome lined. What can I do?

not much. ak's and sks's are notorious for having barrel pits out of the foundry. ive never really noticed any effect on accuracy though. i have one of each that have pits

Take extra care in cleaning as that pit is where rust will form first.

It should make little or no practical difference but if it bothers you, go ahead and sell. If not, keep it.
