I found a 6" Stainless GP-100 that is LNib, with box, papers, lock, etc. The gun may have had one box of shells through it. I set it next to a new one, side by side and couldn't tell the difference.

How does $350.00 sound? I haven't been shopping for these at all, just ran across this tonight on the way home.

Thanks

I don't have a GP-100 but that sounds OK to me. Not sure of listed price or ''street'' price ... but I would not feel too unhappy picking one up for that. See what others say who know their GP-100 prices. Maybe on a technicality - as it's LNIB and not NIB per se ... $300 would be better.

If I'd seen it, liked it, and could afford it at time - I doubt I'd be worrying about a few bucks either way - but then I am an impulsive buyer sometimes!!. (did I just say ''sometimes''!) :p

Ohhh ... nice - me like - me want ... done deal :) :)

Thanks guys.

I have been about to order a new BHP practical 9mm any day, like tomorrow. So that's why I am pondering, I didn't plan on this and thought, well, I'll check out what a decent price is first. I don't need this gun, but that's never really stopped me before.

Bwhahaha .... you pinched my line!!! :p

Hope you get the BHP too - you've probably have seen mine and I love it.

Hahahaha!

Yes, I have seen your HP, very nice. I have three of the damn things, a MKIII in 9mm, a Std in 9mm and Practical in .40 but, I want a practical in 9mm. LOL

Plus, I like the idea of having a .357 I can shoot Godzilla loads with and not have to worry a bit.

$350 for a stainless 6" GP-100 isn't bad.
That's what you'd expect to pay around here (raleigh, NC) for a very good condition used one.

I got mine from a friend who was hard pressed for cash. He shot exactly two cylinders of ammo through it and left it on the shelf in his closet.
Paid him $300 cash, he was looking to get $350.
I kinda feel bad for getting the better end of the deal...but not too bad. :D

Price sounds okay, new around here (central Iowa) they go for about $400. I bought a 4" GP-100 with approx 300 rounds through it for $300 a month ago in a FTF purchase. I guess if you want it then price shouldn't matter.

My favorite gunstore has them NIB for $440 (must be the new '05 prices). If the one you are looking at as nice as you mention, it is a very good buy.

I have a 6" SS GP100 and it is a very well balanced revolver and from everything I have read, it is as strong, if not strongerm than any revolver out there. You should be able to shoot some pretty stout loads in it without worry (except for your wrist :D ).

I just added a Millet orange bar front sight and that made a big improvment in my shooting. You can install it yourself in seconds and they run about $11 from Midway.

Well, I went and bought it, got it for $350.00, tax included. Again I apologized for the crummy pics but it's all I can do with what I presently have. Maybe I should buy a camera instead of guns?

It really is flawless.I have a feeling this 6" bbl is going to perfect for a 357 Mag hunter. :D

Nice sixgun, Marshall.

Since your acquisition is at most slightly used, you will want to put it through the old dry fire regimen. Makes a big difference. I had the gunsmith give my beloved GP a once-over recently, and he said he couldn't improve it; it felt like it had already had an action job. All I did was give the gun regular use and some dry-firing.

Here are a couple of recommended GP100 accessories:

And naturally a spectrum of aftermarket grips can be had if you like.

Thnk you Gentelmen!

I will do my best to enjoy yet another gun I had no plans for. But sometimes they're the best. :)

Actually, I always have wanted GP-100 6" to hunt deer with. I like my Redhawk's so much for that same purpose, I have always liked the idea of little lighter platform. So I'm happy I found an excuse to take care of that.

Marshall... GP's are wonderful revolvers... you did well. But now you need a handy dandy little brother to the 6"er... like one of these:

Ruger GP-100 3" Barrel, Blue Steel, Fixed sights, .357 magnum (GPF-331)

Ruger GP-100 3" Barrel, Stainless, Fixed sights, .357 magnum (KGPF-331)

Enjoy that fine GP!

DHart, I have always loved your PICS! Yes, I had one of those in my hands yesterday, very nice! I have quite a few 2-4" revolvers already but, need had nothing to do with this purchase I just made either so, you never know........ :D
