Just brought home my new stainless GP100. :D The thought of rubber grips on a stainless revolver makes me want to puke! I know I can get the old style rubber grips with the wood inserts...but does anybody make solid wood GP100 grips? Better yet, do you have a picture of a GP100 with solid wood grips? :)

Those are very nice wood grips. How much are they and who made them? Why did Ruger replaced the newer versions with rubber grips? Another cost cutting rationale?

Yep...that's what I wanted. Too bad I already spent all my cash on the gun. :banghead:

Hogue makes nice wood grips of the GP100, checkered, smooth, finger groove and without finger grooves. Ruger went to Hogue rubber because Letts Grips, who made wood inserts for the factory rubber grips went out of business and since Ruger was already using Hogue for the Alaskan, it just seemed like the logical move...And cheaper too...

Hogue Pau Ferro top finger groove only monogrip. Meprolight adjustable night sights. Safety billboard removed by yours truly.

I had it on the market for awhile to restore a Garand. If anyone wants to make a pitch for it, PM me.
