Hi folks. I am going to purchase a GP100, and was wondering if there are any manufacturers out there that are making the old style grips with the wood inserts? Thanks in advance.

Yes, you can get both the compact and regular sized Lett stocks that used to come standard (The compacts were on the 3" guns). Shopruger.com has them both. I purchased the rubber portion from MidwayUSA (along with the pin you need to install them) and got a set of custom wood inserts from a place called "chigsgrips.com" He does awesome work and is very reasonable (mine were $20) if you want a truly "one of a kind" look. He also sells the rubber portion but, I got them cheaper at Midway as I was already ordering something else. "altamontco.com" also sells custom rubber and wood inserts but, only one type of wood if I remember correctly:) UPDATE:(I was wrong, Altamont now has some very nice options on rubber and wood for the fullsize stocks.

Yes, Altamont makes outstanding grips.
Only $44 for the rubber & wood.
Thinking of changing my originals for the Snake Skin model.

You might also find some on eBay.

I just got these about a month ago from Ruger online web store. I feel these grips are some of the best out there. I jumped for joy when they re-introduced these compacs as I feel they are perfect for a 3" GP100.
Standard size would be my next pick.

I like the standard grips on mine, but ...
I'd like to have some checkering. I think it's easier to get a really tight grip.

Seeing how we're showing off...
Here's my Old School Blue 3"
