Texas... finally
If some of you remember (I'm pretty sure most of you won't) I was looking for a 44mag revolver to replace something I sold and shoot the ammo I loaded up for it. I was betwixt and between a Ruger Redhawk and a Ruger Blackhawk.

I sent the money to the shop today and will pick her up when my permission slips come in (it's a Jersey thing) but they had a Blackhawk Hunter with all the original parts and pieces for a very reasonable price.

Thanks to all for the advice and suggestions that I received. I will post pics as soon as I can. Here's a pic from the shop to hold everyone over.

That is a good price. Bisley too, ain't it? Scope it and hang up your deer rifle :)
I don't believe it's a Bisley. As for deer hunting, I'm a stick and string guy. I'd love to use it on pigs down by my mom next year, just gotta see how the budget works out.

If it's the one in the pic, it's not a Bisley. Still, a very good price on a Hunter.

Nice buy! Always had a hankering for one of those in .41 Magnum. More photos and full range report when you get a chance.

Thanks all for the kind words. I'm between sitting in a stand for a few hours looking for deer or running downstate to grab this. Hmmmmmmmmm...

I'll let y'all know when it happens and a range report will follow.

You will love it. They are amazing revolvers. I plan on shooting my Super Blackhawk three screw this weekend. We are looking forward to your range report. :)

Someone has changed the grip frame to the birdshead style, I am not a fan of the birdshead for anything that had some kick to it. If I were you I'd change to either the regular plow handle or bisley configuration. But all in all that is a great price for a hunter model, I'll see new ones hit 750 in my area.

I am going to go grab it tomorrow and will post pics as soon as I can. The pistol is stock according to the shop, so hopefully they aren't wrong.
