For those of you that might be stocking up or having a group buy, I just noticed Grafs and Sons is waiving the Haz mat fees if you order 16lbs or more of smokeless powder.

Bullseye: $94 /8lbs - $11 /lb
Titegroup: $103 /8lbs - $13 /lb
HP38: $108 /8lbs - $13.50 /lb

$89.59/8lbs x 2 = $179.18 - $25 HazMat fee = $154.18/16 lbs

Final cost = $77.09/8 lbs + shipping

Why are you substracting the hazmet fee from the retail price? The hazmet fee is added on to the retail price, so the deal for now the total price is $89.59 X 2 plus the handling fee that Grafs charge which I believe is around $5.00. No hazmet fee added on. Cost per lb. = $11.20 plus the little amount for handling.

I always calculate my powder/primer costs with the HazMat and shipping cost factored in, so I automatically subtracted it - miscalculation.

I deleted miscalculated prices. :banghead:

Ah. Okay it makes sense now. The things is, Graf's prices are generally a touch higher than other places. It works out to about the same price as if you ordered from Powder Valley.

For instance

Unique is
$106.79/8lbs at Grafs
$98.50/8lbs at Powder Valley.
Grafs stills comes out ahead with their flat handling/shipping fee.

H335 8lbs
$140.99 at Grafs
$126.00 at Powder Valley
The Hazmat fee is eaten up by the price difference. Grafs still comes out ahead when you figure in shipping, but not by much.

But if you buy 30 - 40 pounds of powder Powder Valley is a lot cheaper!
