Id like some opinions on this pistol, preferably from owners. The second generation looks like a big improvement over the first, and it reportedly has very low recoil due to the uniqiue rotating barrel design. I wonder how this unique design will hold up in the long term.

Get Beretta instead. Older ones had alloy frame newer ones have more advanced (cheaper to make) plastic frames. I looked over Grand Power compact and the gun appeared well made, but I realized if I wanted to move to something else later it would be very difficult item to move. Always remember gun people only buy second-hand brands they're familiar with so trade in value or sale price for something like Grand Power will have to be low.

I think this rotating barrel reducing recoil is a bunch of hooey.

The barrel in my Stoeger 8040 rotates maybe 25 degrees. Barrel weighs 6 oz at best. Not enough force generated to do much plus it's radial not axial force. Any force generated is countered within mili-seconds as the slide comes forward and the barrel rotates back to its locked position.

I don't think Beretta ever claimed their design reduced recoil.

All the Best,
D. White

The Grandpowers do have a very pleasant flat recoil to them. I shoot CZs and Glocks too, so those are my comparison points. I haven't shot the compact though. The K100 name is derived from one of the original test guns having 100k rounds through it with no issues. They are very good guns and very well made. I also prefer them to the Berettas.

They don't, but there is a 'different' feel to the impulse. Probably more due to the extremely comfortable grip, as much as anything. It'd be my favorite gun if they'd just put the safety in a good spot (and not make it sharp). One of the reasons I like the concept of the Grand Power so much. I'd be a buyer if they'd managed to get the recoil spring around the barrel (shrink the frame/slide a bunch)

Does opinions on the pistol be limited to owners only? How about honest opinions from guys who actually know how to review the p11 shooting for the first time, if you agree....here's some videos. Not you, but Amazing How people judge a firearm if they never even shot the pistol mentioned

I have owned a few polymer pistols cz/Gluck/steyr/bersa/fn...all polymer, my gpk100 and X-calibur has less recoil than all thee pistols I mentioned/used to own

I owned a K100 Mk7, P11 and K22S. They are quality guns. Had a chance to shoot the L40, L45 and the 10mm too.The rotating barel lock-up reduces the muzzle flip, turning it more into a push. I still have the 22LR cal. model. Now I am waiting for the striker-fire model (Q100), which was to get to the market last October but was delayed due to a lack of production capacity (the factory is busy with the K100 contracts). I got my hands on one of their prototypes last August. The trigger was very smooth. Was told it can be tuned very fine. Last Friday I was told I might get a Q100 in late January.
