Sweet!Turns out I beat 35 poodleshooters including some in open division. Garand can still get it done!
We’re you shooting irons while the AR guys had optics??!!Turns out I beat 35 poodleshooters including some in open division. Garand can still get it done!
Yes. The faster tacops and open guys beat me by a long way but I beat quite a few in TacOps, 2X4 TacOps, 2X4 Open, Open, and PCC divisions. The stages didn't require a lot of shotgun loading and I shoot my pump as well as a lot of auto guys and faster than some, particularly as they're often clearing malfunctions. Had a couple guys running ARs in my squad that caused them problems all day. Course they had messed with the adjustable gas block to try to make it shoot softer/faster and that came back to bite them. A quality AR with standard parts and good ammo is as reliable as anything. but people think they need to mess with them. I guess that's part of the fun. We’re you shooting irons while the AR guys had optics??!!
LOL I did get a cheer of "Thirty aught six!" When I flipped the spinner with 2 hits instead of the 8 or 12 required by the ARs.1KPerDay
I can just hear the crowd cheering you on chanting: "M1, M1, M1...", as you dusted all those peashooters with their ARs!

Keep posting please. Quick question what ammo did you use for the Garand.
Thanks and keep posting them.
if you can find Greek HXP M2 ball that is probably your best bet for factory ammo. Or "creedmor" ammo from the CMP. I haven't used any of that though. Thanks 1kPerDay
CMP remenber my Birthday recently with a Garand. So, I have to treat the rifle properly.
Running is not for me by now, but certainly I can shoot standing.
Keep posting your matches.
