Looks like there's no limit to what the antis will do to discredit gun owners. Here, the powers-that-be in Albany are blaming the folks who attended the recent rally to protest New York's draconian SAFE Act for damage to the lawn to the tune of $60,000.00! Forget the issues, we're talking damage to the grass! I was in attendance at said rally, and can assure you that a more peaceful and respectful group of folks cannot be found anywhere.

Taxpayers pay for the grass; they have a right to stand on the grass. Otherwise, negating hour 1A right to peaceably assemble and petition for redress of grievances would be a simple as scattering grass seed (which isn't THAT expensive, btw).
