Hi,

I'm not a big fan of baggy Hawaiian shirts, or baggy shirts period. I like something that "hangs right" and fits in the shoulders...unfortunately lots of younger guy styles these days are tight fitting all over and don't hang at all. I don't like that.

But I went to Belk the other day and found these shirts on sale, and they are so great for CCW - they don't look loose at all, but by at the bottom they hang nicely so they give you lots of room to play with for CCW. I'm 6'1 200 lbs and Medium fit me pretty tight (Abercrombie model tight) so Large was what I chose

Madison clothing co.
Style: 3674312
26.00 apiece down to 9.00 (sale)

I can't find any pics online, pretty lame...but go check out the sale at Belk's if you need a spring/summer/fall carry shirt.

EDIT: Feel free to talk about what kinds of shirts you like for CCW.

I'm a big fan of Tommy Bahama shirts... kinda like a silken Hawaiian shirt, without the gawdawful floral print. Very classy and tasteful (but I live at the beach.)

Anyway... $80-$120 a shirt is kinda high, so I'm always on the lookout for knockoffs with similar styling. Found some at JC Penny's the other day for $17.99 or so. They look good, fit well, and I could conceal a friggin X-Frame under there!

This isn't it, but it's similar.

I couldn't find it in their online catalog. It was from a company called Solaire, IIRC. It had to have been on closeout, MSRP was like $59.99 or so.

Maybe it was Soltaire (as in Salt Air)? Solaire was the last label Mr. Robert Mondavi was working on before he passed away. I could be confusing my high quality, low price shirts with my high quality, low price wines.

I googled and googled, and "Madison clothing co" only came up with 5 results. The Belk site only has housewares type stuff.

The shirts are thin 100% cotton with nicely-cut shoulders and a collarless button-neck. They have reverse stitching (I think that's the phrase - the stitches are outside the shirt but not too conspicuous) and they are not baggy nor too tight in the arms. They are the ideal length for me, large I mean, at 6'1.

I will post a pic later if I can get this digi cam working again. Otherwise, just go to a belk. I really do recommend them, they're very comfortable and would be a good choice to wear to a nice casual fine dining restaurant, or something like that...dress them up or down.

I'm no Oleg, but here it is. Anyone smaller or shorter than me I'd recommend a medium and not a large...but you can see from this how well it hides my piece, and on top of that it comes in like 6 diff colors.

I found some Nautica shirts on sale at Macy's that would be good for CCW. They are polo type shirts that sit well at the shoulders but down through the shirt tail they are loose (but not baggy) and should disguise a IWB pistol pretty well. I think they were $34.95.

Sams Club had some nice "hawaiian" shirts and "camp" shirts, as well as Haggar Clothing Outlets. I started wearing them because they are an great way to CC. I wear mine open with a t-shirt underneath - untucked. The t-shirt serves as a the first layer, the over shirt as a second layer, which serves to eliminate any printing.

I also but the next larger size to help reduce any likelihood of printing.

WHAT NO GUN BELT?!?!?! LoL

In this pic the pants do look a little saggy. I've been losing weight (intentionally) lately and these new size 34s, along with the KelTec, still hang a little low. The boxers exaggerate the look though...I didn't adjust anything for the pic. This outfit is very comfortable and CCW friendly.

It's all about the Dickies work shirts, $15 a pop at Wal-Mart, can't stain 'em, can't wrinkle 'em, and longer tails that cover even OWB carry great. I have one in every color! :)

In the winter I find that hockey or really any jersey is the best for under arm CCW.

Summertime it is strickly groin or lower back carry.
