Hello all,
I just ended a two week vacation showing someone around Atlanta.
One of her requests was to go to The Atlanta History Center,to tour the "Swan House" and Tullie Smith Farm.

We went into the Museum, and there is one great display of Civil War guns, relics, and open displays.

I was impressed to say the least with the depth of the gun collection, including examples of guns made in the Confederate States.
There was only one mounted cannon, with four more mounted muzzle up along one wall. There is a large display of various shells in a case, some partial duds and some unfired.
Most of the collection is from the DuBose Collection, and I have to say whoever donated it was a better person than I am,since I would have wanted to keep those guns all to myself!

There is also a WW2 display showing the war on the homefront in GA,and lots of things for the wives to go see to make it a family outing.

Regards,Robert.
