I met a good friend at the range today, it was his first time out of the houses in two years so I made reservations for the two of us and forced him to take his guns with him.

He took his Ruger Mark III Hunter and a Taurus Tracker. He had just replaced the sight on the Taurus and wanted to make sure it still hit the target. At 75 he was a bit shaky but I glassed for him and got him on target.

He then took his Mark III and with iron sights at 15 yards kept everything on a 6 inch Shoot & See target.

I shot my Ruger Mark IV / Volquartsen Black Mamba. From a rest it's stupid accurate putting a one hole group at 15 yards resting the bottom of the gun on the bench with no other support. I then shot 100 rounds of CCI Blazers and kept everything within the center 4 inches of my target while shooting unsupported.

I followed up with my Colt Gold Cup Trophy by Walter. What a pleasure to shoot. Feels like a 1911 but there is absolutely no recoil. With the 12 round magazines it's nice to have enough where I don't have to reload right away. I have 8 magazine. The gun groups very well. I'm hoping to use it for Steel Challenge RimFire Pistol Iron Sights later this year.

It was nice for you to get your friend out of the house. Nice guns too. I have never been able to understand why great accuracy is stupid though.

On behalf of those of us 'up there' in age, it was kind of you to take your friend to the range. And even for a revolver guy, those guns in the photo are fantastic.
