Beautiful.
I've lusted after the 2.5 inch 66, or 19, for a while. I have a 66-2 (4 inch) that I love and that I shoot in revolver matches. A guy who occasionally joins our crew on my duty day at the range has an unfired 66-no dash (also 4 inch) that he sometimes has in his holster. Someone *gave it* to him. These things don't happen to me.
I lucked into a 2.5 inch King Cobra stainless a few years ago. Bobbed hammer, handling marks, sat on consignment for a month, unloved and seemingly unnoticed, before I forced myself to finally get it (good price). New hammer from Numrich, trip to Colt Custom Shop for refinishing. Just like that, worth a fair amount - which is not the point. And like the OP, I shoot it. Also shoot a Magnum Carry (barely used, but not NIB) I came across a few more years ago.
And now a club where I shoot some matches may have a snub-nose match occasionally.
Have no particular use for snubs, but they do always draw my eye for some reason.
