Nice looking rifles. I hope they make it to our shores at a reasonable price. Heck, I really just hope they make it here!

I don't know why, but I have always wanted one of the 7.62x39 models.

Hope they make it this time in reasonable numbers.

AWESOME!

Yes, a juvenile reaction, but oh so appropriate for this juvenile at heart.

To me it looks like an early version of the Ruger Gunsite Scout Rifle. It's funny how someone will buy one of these, and covet them to no end, but deride the Ruger version.

I want one. I hope the aussies can git 'er done, and import the bloody things.

a couple years ago I checked into these and marstar in canada is selling them but could only find 7.62X39 rifles sold through Gander Mountain here in the US. There are some good rifles out there we can't get. These are one example another is the VEPR which currently has no importer, the Isreali TABOR rifle, the real SWISS ARMS 550. Also the US is blocking alot of M1 rifles from coming in and Clinton ordered the destruction of a great number of M14s.

They have been trying to restart importation for a while. I did not see anything on their website about a solid timetable.

There are already a few of the 7.62x39 models in the USA.

I like the 308 sniper/version.

They've been saying it's coming to the USA for over 5 years.
The AIA website hasn't changed in about 3 years.
The 7.62x51mm AIAs continue to be vaporware for the US market.
Also the projected MSRP for the US market was $1000USD for the 7.62x51mm AIA M10-B1.

ECVMatt: The AIA imitation Jungle Carbine was in Saginaw, MI in February '09. The caliber: 7.62x39.

I handled it at the Gander Mountain store, by Fashion Square Mall.

Even though the price was about $750 and supposedly imported in very limited numbers, it help ignite my desire for real Jungle Carbines, which cost $350-425 in '09.

I've been hoping for years that they would import these. If it was reasonably priced, maybe $600 or so, I would be all over it.

I had one, but sold it. I actually miss it a lot now, and wish I hadn't sold it. Oh well... I'll hopefully find one again someday. Yes, those are 30rd AK magazines. :)

I like the x39 version. A 308 would be okay as well.

What kind of mags do they take?

I'm not sure I'd have much interest at that price.

The 2+ year old link no longer works. If anyone is interested, or has a good link, feel free to start a fresh thread.
