My step-father has a Kimber Tactical Pro II, with fathers day coming up I would like to get him some custom grips. I believe any full size 1911 grips would work but I don't really know, any advice on what to look for in grips or maybe some companies that any of you have had good results with in the past?

There are two things to look for.

Make sure its cut for a magwell, meaning its not tapered on the bottom.

If it has a ambi safety, make sure the grips are ambi-cut. I'm not sure if the Tactical has ambi safeties so you'll have to check.

Of course, check the length so that it fits a PRO. Good luck :)

Grips are a "personal" thing. I'd make sure he wanted some different/custom grips. You might pick something he does not want. Perhaps he should have some input instead of us strangers?

just a thought, does not mean it's right :scrutiny:
