I have a Kimber Custom 2 1911 that im thinking about putting new grips on.
I came across Raasco Grips web site. Some of there 1911 grip panels look really nice. They are made from Dymondwood with impregnated coloring and i think this kind of pressed wood is pretty hard and will last. Has anybody bought from Raasco? Any pics or feedback would be very helpful....Thanks

I have a kimber custom with raasco dymondwood grips They fit great and look good too. The checkering is "grippy" almost like a grip tape feel which I love. I like grips that don't slide around in my hand. My gun has a s&a magwell and they make magwell grips for your specific magwell since they aren't all contoured the same. Here's my kimber. Mark

I got a couple of sets from him, smooth curly koa and some silver-black dymondwood. Pleasure to deal with, and hassle free. The dymondwood grips are a little thick though and I'm in the process of taking them down a bit.

Raasco

I have a couple sets from him. Great quality and service. The Dyamond Wood is good stuff.

Great grips, slightly thinker than stock 1911 style grips, really set the gun in my hand and the checkering is well done.
