My S&W 629 4" Mountain Gun shoots very tight groups. However, they always hit below my point of aim. At first I thought it was due to my reloads but I've tried it with quite a few different factory loads such as 180 gr .44 magnum and 240 gr. Come to think of it, the same occurs when shooting .44 Special. I've also tried the same samples of ammo in a 5" 629 Classic and shots are always dead on. Never ran into this with a handgun before.
I've lowered the rear sight as far as possible. My sight picture has the top of the front sight lined up with the top of the read sight.
Any ideas?
