Hi, my name is ARLover and I'm a gunaholic. I have found that shooting is very addicting and I realize I am not alone. Unfortunately, so is buying new firearms. Again I know I'm not alone.
In an attempt to control my obsessive thinking and compulsive buying I have been restricting my new purchases. Not easy.
In doing this I have discovered that the more I shoot the less I want to buy. Sounds odd, however, I realize now that sometimes I would buy a gun when I really just wanted to shoot one.
So now I try and fire off even just a few rounds a day as my therapy. I live in the country so it's a bit easier but if you suffer from the same affliction try shooting every chance you get. Even if I can't pour lead at the targets (eldery neighbors I respect greatly who like the quiet) or shoot long ranges at home, just pulling the trigger a few time and hearing a gun go bang can be very satisfying. It also helps me appreciate what I already own.
Any other tips for avoiding mewantmebuynowism would be appreciated.
