Gun Belt Width

Quality of leather belts is determined by the animal of origin, the type of finishing, and the thickness of the hide. In general the thicker the belt, the better. Don't know how to determine the quality for belts made from other materials than cow hide. Does anybody know.

I order slacks from Wearguard/Aramark that take a 1.75" belt and work well for me in an office, church, etc. They are comfortable and wear like iron. Cheap, too. I think the item # is 201.

Get both 1.25 and 1.5 width belts. I have had good luck with my 1.5 Rafter sharkskin belt in black. It's several years old, and still looks great. I will be getting a 1.25 in black cowhide belt from them for my suits and dress pants.
